| In the era before steroids, thoughts of nutrition and bodybuilding were just
beginning to mesh with real science. Getting a well muscled body was almost a religious experience. The high priests of this era knew everything about constructing the perfect male form. In reality they were mostly salesmen. In some cases engaging in quackery so bold it makes us laugh today.
